Effective Experiments Announces WatchTower – a new way for experimentation teams to grow visibility of their tests

One of the biggest challenges experimentation teams face is the fact that they struggle to get buy in and engagement from stakeholders and other parts of the business.

Growing awareness about the experiments being run is the strongest way to counter this and garner support from other parts of the business.

However, the only ways of doing this would be sending out spreadsheets or PowerPoint decks which rarely get looked at. For customers using Effective Experiments, the ability to send detailed experiment pages with a single click was a powerful feature but we wanted to make it even more easier for experimentation teams to create visibility.

The team at Effective Experiments are really excited to announce WatchTower – a free chrome extension that notifies the user what A/B tests are currently running on the webpage they are visiting. This is designed to work in tandem with Effective Experiments and syncs with the company’s website.

Access to the chrome extension is handled with security in mind. Using API keys distributed to the internal teams and stakeholders, the users will be able to see it only on the site the key is connected to.

The user has the ability to view more detailed information about the test by clicking any of the running tests.

This significantly reduces the effort and resources in creating resources to alert people about running tests and allows experimentation teams to focus on their processes – ideation, research and experimentation.

The additional advantage of using WatchTower is the analytics that notifies the experimentation team how many people have been viewing the pages and interacting with the experiments. This is a significant benefit when you compare it to the old ways of sharing experiments such as PowerPoint or emails where it’s harder to track the engagement

WatchTower is available to Effective Experiments customers on all plans. If you’re not an Effective Experiments customer, why not check out why customers choose a dedicated Experimentation Ops management system over generic platforms such as Airtable or Google Sheets.
